Air Force of the Dominican Republic acquires the Tecnam P2006T ‘Special Mission Platform’

​Tecnam today announced that the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD) would be the first military operator of the Tecnam P2006T SMP (Special Missions Platform) aircraft. The primary role for this P2006T SMP aircraft will be Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) and support the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD) and the Dominican Republic’s National Drug Control Direction (DNCD).

Baltic Aviation Academy expands its fleet with P2006T

Last year academy purchased five aircraft, which nearly doubled its training capacity. The newest addition of another Tecnam P2006T Twin now brings the entire fleet to twelve aircraft, used for Ab Initio training. “Currently we have over a hundred students at our academy that are going to need MEP training, therefore, providing sufficient access to multi-engine aircraft is very important, especially for those who are about to graduate with their licenses. This is also a step towards the fulfillment of the planned growth and expansion plans,” comments Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO of Baltic Aviation Academy.
